Hi, my name is Alex and I am the proud owner of ITZA Bakeshop.
I have worked in the food industry for a number of years as a pastry Chef, and as part-owner of Bistro 2210.
I received a diploma from NAIT in Professional Cooking in 1998. I then moved to Calgary and worked at Bernard Callebaut making chocolates. From there I worked at the Sheraton as a pastry assistant, where I developed the skills and love for pastries and baking.
I then moved on to co-own the Bistro 2210, but after 3 years decided to take another step in my career and open a bakeshop in the Devenish. I love the interaction a bakeshop offers with customers and the community. When I found the Devenish location, it fit my vision of a community bakeshop perfectly.
I have a passion for baking, and would love to have you come by, and sample all the pastries, breads and lunch items baked fresh daily. Just open a door anywhere in the Devenish and follow your nose!
